Having read reviews from previous guests,I can now agree this is a really good hotel for business travellers more so than tourists. We did not use the spa facilities or gym.The car parking with lift straight up to the floor our room was on ,was very convenient and for us an important aspect of choosing this hotel. The cafe/restaurant was vey good .The breakfast was more of a continental style .The best thing about the hotel for us was the staff,especially in the restaurant ,they are really friendly and you are always greeted with a smile.The location is more suited to business travellers being next door to the main train station but a good walk into the centre and the main beach.

We stayed one night at Silken Ciudad Gijón, a modern 4-star hotel, and found it to be a perfectly functional stopover. The location, about 1 km from Poniente Beach and Gijón’s city center, was convenient for a quick visit. Our room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the essentials, including free WiFi and a cozy bed. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth check-in. While we didn’t use the indoor pool or spa, they looked inviting. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay in Gijón, and we’d recommend it for travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

Surprisingly quiet. The suite is spacious and well appointed. Huge comfy bed, fantastic shower and juacuzzi bath. Very convenient for the railway station and the bus station is about 8 minutes walk with regular buses to the airport (currently 9 euros per person). Easy walk down to the port and the surrounding areas with shopping and eateries galore.

The room had an excellent view! The pool and spa looked good however we didn't purchase the swim cap or rent the robe and slippers so we did not use it. We used the gym, it was sufficient.. The reception staff was very helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant in the area. We were very grateful.

Very comfortable room and very pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was more than adequate. Didn’t personally use the Gym or indoor swimming pool but good to have these available. Used the restaurant on our final night and received excellent service and very good food.

Very large room! Which is a positive surprise. Breakfast was very correct with different sweet and savoury options, I really liked the local cheese choices. They have a complimentary spa access, which needsto be booked in advance Basic ammenities, value for money

Lovely hotel with a modern look. Very comfortable and clean. The staff are very polite and respectful. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Great gala restaurant at the main entrance with excellent staff and great communication even though we had very little Spanish. Great value for money. Nice pool and jacuzzi in a small setting. The bedroom is spacious and the mini fridge is included with a mini bar. Would highly recommend. The local beach is 10 mins , Walk to old town around 20 mins.

The hotel was very spotless, very modern with spa facilities and swimming pool. It’s located near the train station and it’s not far from Gijon’s centre. The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a very cozy bed and a spacious bathroom.
